Svarthna's are very hard to find . They are the true melanistic breed black, the feathers ,skin, bones,and meat ,they lay a small to med eggd & have a great personality. We use only, all black birds for breeding. But in this breed or any other all black breed, you can get white toes , most will turn black. You can get silver/ white ear lobes this is not uncommon. The comb could get a reddish tint. It's called leakage, or an occasional white feather,if you get any of these traits, it is part of the breed. However, you shoukd NOT use them for breeding. They should be culled from the flock. Please Note: I do NOT store hatching eggs. ALL eggs are usually shipped within 24 hours of being laid.
