Description: 1 7/8" High Celtic Style Coptic Ethiopia Silver Cross With Chamfered Decoration This beautiful 1 7/8" high Celtic style Coptic Ethiopia silver cross is a special find from the estate of David Farin, a well-known world traveler and collector. It combines the elements of an antique Celtic cross with the unique design of 18th century Coptic Ethiopia crosses. The cross was tested using a Niton XRF Spectrometer and contains 65% silver and 35% copper. Although there is visible wear and a crack along the bale, it does not affect the overall function of the piece. The charming chamfered lines add dimension and character to the cast metal, with some showing natural signs of wear over the decades.
